Yoga aligns body and soul, creating space for love to flow freely within and between us

pranayoga

healthy body, happy soul

Prana Yoga is a healing practice that focuses on activating and controlling prana, the vital life force energy. Using a combination of breathwork, movement, and meditation it helps to balance the chakras, calm the mind, and improve physical and emotional health.

Prana

the vital life force

Prana Yoga is a practice designed to harness and manipulate prana, the vital life force energy, with the goal of enhancing physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This practice combines various elements, including breathing techniques (pranyamas), mindfulness practices (meditation), and physical postures, (yoga asanas) to cleanse and balance the body’s energy centers.

The core philosophy of Prana Yoga is the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and seeks to achieve inner peace and harmony through deliberate cultivation and direction of energy flow.

Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.

healing the whole person

We use a holistic approach to well-being because people need more than a just a quick fix for their physical ailments. To fully heal we need to work on all levels of the person: physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual. Mental imbalances, such as nervousness and dark thoughts, often have their roots in the energy body.

Using a 3-step process that combines healing yoga with emotional release work, we help our clients first establish a positive relationship with themselves. This is the key to transforming lives.

an emotional and physical reset

During the 3-step process clients are freed from hurtful past relationships and life traumas. Stuck emotions need to be released these before creating a positive mindset, or it is easy to be sucked back into negative habits. This process opens the door to new possibilities: it is a complete emotional and physical reset.

We help you build a positive foundation for creating the kinds of relationships you long for. You create new relationships with more balance, more freedom and with an open heart.

the effect of stress

the invisible burden you carry

Accumulated stress is common in those who work high-stress jobs, or are in emotional distress, or suffering chronic health difficulties. It is a build up of stress factors such as heavy workload, poor communications, frustration, coping with feeling powerless, or having no time to relax. These create energy blockages, which worsen the effects of stress. The result is near constant feelings of tiredness, lack of focus and irritation.

As stress builds up, it can lead to physical and emotional problems such as anxiety, insomnia, depression, agitation, and chronic headaches. Left unchecked, stress has serious consequences, including an increased risk of suicide. It is essential to know the signs of cumulative stress and take steps to manage it. You need to: make changes that prioritize self-care, seek support from others, and find healthy coping mechanisms.

practices for wellness

Feel the surge of life energy as breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement nurture body and soul. Let the practice guide you into a deeper, more vibrant version of yourself.

These are some Prana Yoga practices we use at Yogi Living (click for comments):

Pranayama balances the flow of prana in the body. Helps calm the mind, soothes the nervous system, and improves respiratory function.

Chakra Yoga uses gentle asanas to help align the body, open energy channels, and facilitate the flow of prana. This process releases past experiences stuck in the energy body, balances the energy flow, brings greater self-awareness, and more mental clarity.

Sun salutation strengthens muscles, improves circulation, and enhances overall health.

AUM chanting aligns us with the fundamental vibration of the universe. Chanting stimulates the vagus nerve, which activates the relaxation response. The vibration of AUM helps calm the mind, lowers stress levels, balances emotions and creates a profound feeling of inner peace.

Meditation in Prana Yoga involves focusing the mind to achieve a state of deep relaxation and heightened awareness.

The practice involves being fully focused on “the now,” acknowledging and accepting thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment.

Visualization to evoke relaxation or calmness, and to promote healing and well-being.

A 3-step process to free clients from hurtful past relationships and life traumas.

Lifestyle counseling may involve advice on stress management, sleep habits, diet and daily routines.
