7-day Immersion
kundalini awakening
Are you looking for a sense of purpose beyond work and daily routines? Do you sometimes feel trapped, and have a deep yearning for change? You are being called to awaken.
It is no accident you have found this page. What you seek is also seeking you.
A solitary Kundalini Activation Retreat is a chance to explore your inner self, discover your purpose, and find a sense of peace that has, perhaps, felt out of reach. Each moment is designed to nourish and empower you, and gives you the chance to simply be.
The Kundalini Activation Retreat isn’t about escaping—it’s about meeting yourself in a new way. Away from the noise of daily life, you’ll have the quiet and space to connect with your deepest self, guided by a teacher experienced in the ancient wisdom of Tantra Kundalini Yoga.
A Kundalini Activation Retreat is a transformative experience that goes beyond merely physical practice, diving deep into the mind, body, and soul.
You will be guided through powerful yogic practices—pranayamas, meditation, and yoga kriyas—that tap into your deepest being, helping you release old patterns, emotional blockages, and achieve your highest potential.
Rooted in the ancient Tantra Kundalini tradition, this yoga awakens the dormant Kundalini energy within, leading to profound insight and personal breakthroughs.
This is a journey not only for heightened self-awareness but also to discover a sense of purpose, inner peace, and vitality. For many, the retreat experience is a catalyst for long-term growth, and provides tools to integrate the heightened state of consciousness into everyday life.
A solitary Kundalini Activation Retreat can be challenging, but it can change your life.
The Boho Caravan
Yogi Living is a small retreat center set among among farm fields in south Sweden. The landscape is beautifully serene, typical of rural villages in Skåne county, but there can sometimes be traffic noise, or agricultural machinery working the fields.
Our bohemian-style caravan is kept in a quiet corner of Yogi Living Retreat Center Garden, so you have your own private area during the Kundalini Activation Retreat.
Once a day we bring you a warm home-cooked vegetarian meal. A simple supper of warm soup and bread can also be provided, if needed. The caravan has tea-making facilities, dry ingredients for breakfast and a heater. Showers can be taken at certain times in the main house.
There is a treehouse platform overlooking the gardens that is perfect for sitting meditation. Should you need to soothe away aches and pains, ask to use the outdoor hot tub, which we can set up for your sole use.
The caravan has the following amenities:

The Retreat Center
Yogi Living is a family-run Nordic yoga center located in a small village among the rural farms and wide-open skies of Skåne, in South Sweden. We are within easy reach of the major transport hubs of Malmö and Copenhagen.
The Retreat Center has a peaceful and grounded feel, but it’s also part of the rhythm of local village life. We are located on a road, so you will sometimes hear the rumble of passing traffic or neighbors going about their day—and sometimes be approached by a friendly cat in the garden!
This is not a place for total withdrawal or complete silence but rather a space to explore practical yoga methods that are meant to integrate into everyday life. At Yogi Living, you’ll experience the beauty of yoga in harmony with the gentle hum of life around you, creating a balance between inner peace and the outside world.
Retreat is not a matter of hiding or running away. It is an opportunity to heal, reflect, and emerge stronger, more connected to the essence of who you truly are.

Kundalini Awakening is not a one-time event but, an ongoing process requiring dedication and patience. It is a personal and very subjective experience that can vary greatly from person to person. Some may get a gradual and gentle awakening, while others may have intense and overwhelming sensations.
You will find many posts online that talk of dramatic experiences with Kundalini awakening. These kinds of experiences are very rare with correct preparation and guided practice (see The 3 Stages Of Kundalini Awakening on the Kundalini Awakening page). They can, however, happen spontaneously. This is why guidance from an experienced teacher is essential.

The Hidden Treasure Within
A Kundalini Activation Retreat is an opportunity for self-discovery and spiritual growth, and can be profoundly transformative.
One of the most obvious features of the Kundalini Activation Retreat is stepping away from everyday life, and the opportunity to immerse yourself in stillness. The practices offered on the Kundalini Activation Retreat are a guide back to yourself, and purposefully create a channel for Kundalini energy to move freely.
As Kundalini energy awakens, many report feeling deeper unity with nature, heightened intuition, and moments of profound spiritual insight. It can feel as though a veil has been lifted, revealing a clearer view of the internconnectedness of life.
The practices and environment of the Kundalini Activation Retreat create the conditions for release of supressed emotion and unresolved trauma, which block the free movement of Kundalini energy. Letting go of what no longer serves you brings immense personal relief and deep insight into the nature of self. Given time and regular practice, the process creates more emotional balance, physical vitality, and mental clarity. You will navigate challenges with more resilience and create more authentic relationships, incuding with yourself.
Ultimately, the choice to participate in a Kundalini Activation Retreat is down to you, and how far you wish to take your practice. What you learn has the potential to shift your experience of life. It is an invitation to live with heightened awareness, more love and joy, and alignment with your deepest values.

frequently asked questions
Is this a silent retreat?
The structure of the retreat is entirely up to you. However, we do strongly advise maintaining silence for the duration of your stay, where possible. Noble silence, or mauna, has been used for centuries as a means to both deepen your meditation and to catalyze personal insight.
Should you need support, emotional or otherwise, feel free to talk with one of the teachers at the Retreat Center.
What is included in the retreat?
Your booking includes accommodation, meals and basic facilities plus teachings in traditional Kundalini Tantra Yoga. Please be aware, these teaching are in no way connected with the Kundalini Yoga of Yogi Bhajan. They are taken directly from source: the traditional unadulterated Yoga Tantras of India and Tibet.
What form of meditation is taught?
Teaching is based on Indian and Tibetan forms of kundalini tantra yoga, and is non-denominational. This includes various forms of sitting meditation, yoga asanaand pranayama, alongside supportive practices such as active or dynamic meditations, emotional release work and discussions around yoga philosophy.
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. Yoga classes are optional and tailored to individual needs, without the complicated postures you may see online.
Are classes held in English?
Yogi Living Retreat Center resident yoga teacher Winnie Winnetu speaks English, Swedish, Danish, French and German so don’t worry if you cannot speak Swedish!
How do I get to Yogi Living Retreat Center?
Yogi Living Retreat Center is located in Skåne, South Sweden close to the vibrant city of Malmö. The closest international airports are Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (75 km) and Malmö airport, Sturup (30 km) with good rail connections to Malmö and on to Trelleborg (our closest town). You can also come by car through Germany and take the ferry from Rostock to Trelleborg. There are 3 sailings (6 hours duration) per day.
We can pick you up by car from Malmö or Trelleborg, but please ask for this in advance.
What is the local area like?
The surrounding countryside is picture-postcard Sweden. There are many small picturesque villages and a mixture of open farmland, woodland, and lakes. The wonderful coastline of the Swedish Riviera is only 5km away. When the weather allows we can arrange an excursion to places like the Ales Stones (the “Swedish Stonehenge”) and local castles.
You can also hang out in the garden where we have a treehouse meditation platform and a jacuzzi. There is a small ICA supermarket 5 minutes walk from the ashram.
